The Risk of Cold Temperature to Employees

While 60 to 68 degrees temperature is good for sleeping moment, this is no longer advisable to the employees working either in call center in the Philippines but also workers in government agencies including private local companies. Cold temperature cause the worker to become sleepy and reduce brain and body movement.

A research concluded that for all situation, the cold temperature or about 60 to 68 degrees F can cause a man to become sleepy. However, beyond or below this temperature can cause the body to feel uncomfortable and therefor unhealthy.

The cold temperature help the body organ in reducing body temperature which reduce the activities of your organ which turn in to sleepiness. Study shows that those people with insomnia or suffering temporary insomnia have a warmer body temperature resulting to restlessness. This is why the athlete always heat they body before any strenuous work. A warmer body tends to become more active, energetic, agile and easily react to stimulus.

This study supports the treatment of insomnia and recommend to monitor the temperature in the inbound call center offices. Call center agent will become sleepy due to the cold temperature as they body organ response to the situation. This cold temperature will cause both intellectual and physical reduction of activities and could pose risky response to the situation related to work.

But it is also umcomfortable too if the room will be sweltering because it's congested.

I agree with Arlene. Working in a very hot environment is very uncomfortable. You can't even think straight if you are experiencing this.
